Can hearing aids help with nerve damage?

I just found out I have nerve damage in my 1 ear. I want to know if hearing aids will help me hear again.

2. yes they can. Basically nerve damage means the hearing loss is permanent and medical treatment with medication or surgery will not improve the hearing. So your only option of hearing better is to get a hearing aid to amplify the sounds for you.
