Is there places in the military for those with hearing aids?

I have hearing aids and I was wondring if anyone knew if they would let someone with hearing aids in?

  1. I really depends on what your baseline hearing loss is, but the answer is probably no if you need to wear hearing aids to hear in your daily life. This doesn't mean you can't do your part to help the military. You can be a civilian that works with the military if you would like to be in the military environment even if you can't serve yourself. Go to the Department of the Navy/Army or Air Force websites. They have an online job resume system that shows all the GS jobs available at each base around the country and world. You can also work at DECA, which is the grocery type store that supports the military. The military needs supports jobs too. Good luck.
  2. No, they disqualify you from serving.
  3. I agree with abby_K9, it is part of your physical, after you take the ASVAB test… or at least it was when I took it 20 years ago. But it doesn’t hurt to go to a recruiting office and tell them your position and strong desire to be in the military. You might be able to be a civilian working for the military. Good luck to you!
