How did people in school treat you cause you wearing hearing aids?

i havent wore mine in 2nd grade. back then people were all like thats so cool! but it was elementary school. i'm in middle goin to high school now. people change and act differently. people who have seen me wear them dont remember that i have hearing aids. my mom gets mad when i dont wear them in school so I HAVE TO wear them now. i hate them. how did people treat you? how do you think people will react to me when they see me wear them?

1. I went to high school with a girl who wore hearing aids, and with my cousin who is completely deaf in one ear. Neither one of them had any troubles with people teasing them or anything... most people didn't even notice that Stephanie wore hearing aids! Aside from a few lighthearted jokes (calling Jeremy 'Deafboy' and saying that Stephanie got hearing AIDS from unprotected phone sex) exchanged among best friends, there was no difficulty. Both of them took it in stride, and are now doing very well in their college courses.
2. Today they're so much better; when I was in school they only had the big flag kind that stuck way out and there was that wire from the aid into your pocket and they were really noticeable; today they're so much better and people won't hassle you, believe me.
