How can people compare christian and muslim extremists?

I keep hearing people say "dont punish all of a people because of a small minority of troublemakers". Thats BS. I dont see any muslim country doing anything about muslim terrorists. They harbor them and aid them and support them. Who knows of any mainstream christian that condones the KKK or what Timothy McVey did? To compare the two is not only wrong, its retarded and ridiculous, and any attempt to spare the "innocent" muslim sub-humans by comparing them to truly innocent christians is as backwards thinking as you can get. Im not either Christian nor muslim, I am Aetheist. But if I was forced to follow one or the other, I would choose being a human (Christian).

You, sister, are one sick puppy. What makes you human and these people not? Is it your judgemental attitude or merely your good fortune to have been born in the richest part of the world? Maybe Christians don't openly support the KKK or Timothy McVeigh, but they are pretty solidly behind the chicken-hawks in Washington who send the children of the poor off to fight an illegal war that is all about stealing the oil from foreign lands to inflate the profits of the big corporations. Sure, the violence perpetrated by Muslim extremists and terrorists is wrong and innocents suffer, but so is the violence done to their people for the past 50 to 100 years over petroleum. How many Arabs/Muslims died at the hands of US puppet dictators such as Shah Reza Pahlavi (Iran), the House of Saud (Saudi Arabia, or is it Sodom Arabia?) and Saddam Hussein (the former leader of Iraq put into power by the CIA and propped up by Donald Rumsfeld and other Reagan Administration officials before being deposed by Donald Rumsfeld and other Bush Administration officials). I am so tired of ignorant yahoos insulting the humanity of people in other countries because you think you're entitled to what they rightfully own.
i think that the (fundamentalists) are comparable no matter what religion. the difference is exactly as you put it: the christian mainstream does not condone (either implicitly or explicitly) or endorse the behaviour of the few. i don't think we should intentionally bomb civilians because the happen to be of the same religion of the enemy but i don't agree with the argument that we should do nothing because it will: a) create more terrorists and b) that life is so sacred that we can't protect ourselves for people who wish to do us harm.
This is the thing. If you really boil it down, people are just too politically correct to admit the truth. The Muslim fanatics are WIDESPREAD in Islam, it's not just a few people.
