Is there anything to do in Orlando besides visit theme parks?
My gf insist on going to Orlando around xmax 2008. We are both in our late 20's and she is a theme park junky; me not so much! Is there a beach, bars, or anything else to do?

- dude theres everything, im 14 and ive been there a few times and if u like sports theres disneys wide world of sports. theres busch gardens in tampa bay which is not too far away. but yea there are beaches since its florida and there should be bars. look up brochures on where youre going. but if your going on xmas might be quite cold so just go explore. theres also a decent range of shopping aswell
- I am not from Orlando but know a girl from there and everytime she tell me about the fun things to do there she yaps on and on about theme parks. I find it annoying bcs I am sooo not into theme parks, Disney or anything of that sort. I know they obviously have more to do than theme parks and such but its kinda hard to get a better concept of it if they are always raving about the parks and nothing else.
- There is Pleasure Island if you like dancing there are over 20 clubs in this one particular place not to mention the places you can go eat. My fiancee and I went to Fulton's Crab House a little pricey but worth it in. You can't miss it if you go because it's a big boat on the water. If you like shopping, there are outlets and the big Millennium Mall that have some upper scale shops. International drive is the hopping spot if you decide to stay at a hotel there. Many dining places, shops and such in walking distance. We love Orlando and will be going for our honeymoon before relocating to Ca in July. I hope this helps and have a blast! Oh, don't forget to try the Lobster House. It's an all you can eat lobster buffet along with many other side. Great drinks. Have fun!
- there are tons you can do here just depends what you 2 are in to http://www.visitflorida.com/listings/taggroup.Orlando/filtergroup.2 http://www.visitflorida.com/listings/taggroup.Orlando/filtergroup.8 If you like bars and clubs head downtown to Church St http://orlando.nightguide.com/nl1dt.htm The closest beach from Orlando is on the east coast (cocoa) but the west coast (clearwater) beach is much better IMO http://www.floridabeachesguide.com/top-ten-florida-beaches/value.aspx
- not really Orlando is all theme parks i would suggest going to las vegas for that stuff
