  1. You can visit "Terror in Orlando", a large scary haunted house. You can take a drive to Daytona beach and drive your car on the beach. The space center at Cape Canaveral has a visitor area that you can tour. International drive has all sorts of attractions.
  2. Buy an Orlando travel guide book, they're worth the money, it will tell you everything you need to know!!
  3. It's always a good idea to take a break from the Disney, Universal and SeaWorld theme parks, especially if you will be in Orlando for a week or more. Here are some of the attractions I recommend: Gatorland ("Alligator Capital of the World"), Green Meadows Petting Farm (great for kids 5-10), Orlando Science Center (has great exhibits, Omnimax Theatre and new Titanic exhibit), Ripley's Believe It Or Not! odditorium (on International Drive) and WonderWorks (funky science center, full of interactive exhibits for kids of all ages, also on International Drive). If you want to beat the heat, I suggest Wet n Wild Water Park or the new SeaWorld Aquatica waterpark, which will open in March 2008. Best day trips from Orlando (within an hour or so) include Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa Bay, Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Silver Springs in Ocala and Canaveral National Seashore. Hope this helps!
