How are the fall colors in your town today?

Here in the Mid Atlantic states, VA, the fall colors look to be muted now a days.I have seen better. Though through the power of the Internet we can all report on the quality of the fall colors from our computer. How about your neighborhood and town today, how are the fall colors? Are they peaked and if not when?

1. I'm in SoCal where most of the trees in my town simply turn brown and fall to the ground. That being said, I planted sever liquid amber maples in my yard strategically placed outside my windows and they have begun to turn a vibrant, brilliant red with the cool nights we've been experiencing. I think it will probably take at least another week to 10 days until the entire tree turns and then I'll be out with the camera taking pictures.
2. not too impressive here in the hills of stuart va, (near Martinsville Speedway) but i journeyed up the mountain to Meadows of Dan VA (close to Floyd and Hillsville along the Blue Ridge Pkwy) and it was alot prettier on the mountain, but i agree that it's not the prettiest this time of the year that i've seen. but i still enjoyed the scenery.
