Permission to take my son on holiday?

I want to take my son to DisneyLand Paris for 4 days and wondered if I needed permission from his father before I could do so? He is on the birth certificate but our son lives with me, though there is no residency order in place. Also if i do need his permission how do i go about gaining this? Do i need it in writing just for referance or is there an officaila form he needs to sign and send somewhere? Please help! I livein the UK. Thanks. Yes he has a passport already which his father didnt need to sign at all for.

  1. i would just run it by him. you don't need a "permission slip" for lack of a better term, to take your son on vacation.
  2. does your child have a Passport yet.. if not then the father needs to sign the passport documents after that then the father has allowed for the child to travel internationally.. therfore you wont need his permission to enter Disneyland Paris but u shud ask the father to see if he has any objections to him travelling
  3. Why make a mountain out of a mole hill? You got the passport and YOU are his mother! You ARE coming back to the UK right!? Then! just buy the damn ticket and go! If you left you house and all it's possessions, your bank account etc etc, it's not like you were skipping the country! BUT! for your peace of mind You could write him a note (keep a copy of it) and tell him you will be out of town for 4 days. See you then! That's if he's the kind of father who comes visiting without letting you know first! Give him time to reply, and if he doesn't.don't worry about it!
  4. You dont need permission in the UK from the father. That tends to be for middle eastern or north african countries. Tell him though lol.
