Finally Today

Was ABC news out of touch with questions asked Wednesday's during the debate?

It seemed to me that ABC was competing with Entertainment Tonight or Survival instead of asking Presidental questions to two candidates that may be elected to lead the most powerful nation on earth. Maybe they were good questions and I have the most powerful nation on earth wrong. Maybe we are the most embarrassing nation on earth.

  1. disgrace abc wednesday night
  2. "Maybe we are the most embarrassing nation on earth." I sense a typical Democrat bashing his country because the media didn't pander to his candidate. It doesn't take much for you guys to go off on your country. That's nothing compared to what he/she will face as president.
  3. dude, whatever your boy finally got some questions deal with it!!
  4. I stopped watching 15 minutes into it. The first question was if they would choose the other as a running mate. Please. Well, I was surprised Gibson didn't ask them..."If you were a tree, what kind would you be?"
  5. No, these are questions that needed to be asked and answered, we are need to know the answers to these questions so we can make a decision as to who to vote for.
  6. if you're that ashamed of your country then may i suggest moving to a communist state?
  7. Nope- what's it going to be like when the even " tougher " questions are addressed? This is only the beginning.
  8. I think the flag pin question was particularly lame. Most of the debate if you want to call that show a debate focused on superficial perceptions vs. the important issues.
  9. If they wanted to ask those questions, maybe it would have been better to leave them at the end. And focus the debate on the economy and war...then, time permitting, ask about Wringht, weather underground, Bosnia.. A pundit was saying yesterday on TV that Pennsylvanians were put off by the debate. They felt it didn't have much relevance (from their point of view).
  10. No, ABC thought that, since those were the questions the liberal airheads that run their network wanted answered that they were also what the American electorate wanted answers to also.
  11. This was the start of the beginning of his vetting, we should understand who he is! Still he was allowed to stumble and mumble his way out and not answer the question...
  12. You are making a point many including myself have made- This was the worst debate I have ever seen. Proof of that is I have never seen the moderators booed at the end of the debate like they were. 45 minutes of junk - re-hashing of bullets and bitter was somewhere between annoying and embarrassing. This did not help either candidate. Boycott ABC news.
  13. Very much. It was like a barbarack witchhunt with such a low-life mentality exhibited by these so-called reporters?? They should fire them really. They asked ill-advised and obviously non-issue questions that had nothing to do with the issues and had already been asked and answered long ago. You could just tell these were lousy racist pukes with no other interest there than to make themselves look less than credible and to smear Obama. Snuffalufugas is in the Clinton's back pocket anyway, but the whole thing showed bias and attacking on Obama and hasn't the nation been showing in the polls that they are sick and tired of these "ole boy", hatemongering, dysfunctional politics? Obama's polls keep going up. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032553/ http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24196209/ Those trailer trash non-journalists need to be fired. I hope they leave America along with any other racist pukes that plague America with racism...none of them ever to be heard from again. They don't bring any goodness, but just evil and badness. Until Armageddon, President Obama 2008!
  14. Maybe the debate form was not the place to be asking these questions of Obama, But they are questions that Obama keeps side stepping too, instead of answering..... I guess he will try to dance around them until August..... and then McCain will be watching him do his dance until McCain moves into the white house.
  15. not sure what questions you didnt like?
  16. ABC was trying for some damage control. They know the Dems are in trouble with this race and didn't want to put either candidate on the hot seat or start a fight between them.
  17. I wanted to see hard and tough questions on matters of POLICY. Specific questions about healthcare and social security reform, and tax reform. Instead, we got a load of nonsense questions about personality and other irrelevant garbage. Shame on the media for being ratings whores.
  18. If someone asked me to denounce, repudiate the conduct or activities 40 years ago of an acquaintance I met a few years ago, I would find that ludicrous as well. Obama can only "speculate" on the level of patriotism of Rev. Wright, who stopped his college studies to join the Marines, by the way. It was sleaze tv. Too much time spent competing with the Sean Hannity of the world.
  19. I was very disappointed: I wanted to know their views on issues thats going to help me and my childs future. Will I have social security, how will the economy be for me and my child, will my family have to stay in Iraq longer, etc It was a sad day on the news I could careless about his friends I'm more focused on the indivuals views and policies for the USA!!!
