Does anyone where ABC news anchor John Quinones parents are from?

I know it's kind of a weird question but he has the same last name, and it's kind of rare. I know he is from San Antonio, but I want to know his roots.

1. He is the son of Bruno and Maria Quinones from San Antonio, Texas. Presumably their ancestry would be Mexican.
