Is it true that, in it's early years, the globe in the ABC News logo rotated BACKWARDS?

Am I thinking of a different network, perhaps? Can I find footage of this?

1. I'm almost sure that it was UK BBC 1 news. I'll check on it and get back. PS it most definitely happened! It was very recently,I'm sure!
