Where would there be a inexpensive place that is not Disneyland or etc. to take kids for summer break?

I live in Wenatchee, Wa. and want to take 3-5 kids on a driving vacation for this summer. I need to know where would be a great place to take them without paying an arm and a leg, and without driving across the country? Please not Disneyland or it's other associations? Also, no water parks or stupid answers from remedial people!

1. gaitlinburg, tn its a fun place look it up, you could stay in a cabin, or hotel
2. There are a few places that I think are amazing, Hover Dame is an Amazing site to see also Grand Canyon is a huge and beautiful place, Yosemite is another place on my top list I think even Kids will be amazed at the fact nature and man made can be so breath taking. enjoy !
