Finally Today

Would you treat someone a little differently (in a bad way) if they had hearing aids?

It's my first day of ninth grade tomorow and I have to wear hearing aids. They are pretty tiny but you can still see like the wire and stuff. Please state honestly, if you were my classmate would you feel repulsed or not want to be my friend? I am very self-concious. Do you ahve suggestions so I will stop worrying about what other peopel think? I am afraid everyone will hate me because I wear hearing aids.

  1. no ofcourse not, nobody does that in my school.one of my best friends has a hearing aid.
  2. Unless you were so ugly that when you looked in the mirror you scared yourself. No, I wouldn't feel repulsed and I would still be your friend. This is something I live by. The one person I really have to make happy in life, is the one I see in the mirror. No one else can make this person happy or sad. Only I can descide this, even though they can do things that might effect this. Think of this, before them how many times did they think you weren't lissening to them, or ignoring them. Because you either didn't hear or understand what they said. Then they might have thought you a snob for not answering. Also if anyone mentions them, you can have fun with it. You can say your a member of the secret service for the president. Then put your finger to you ear, say shh a message is coming through. Tell them you can now read their thoughts and they should be ashamed of what their thinking. With comedic replies, the skies the limit as to what you can do. Some of course might then say your nuts. I've gotten that allot in life. That and I'm not right in the head, but I am happy with the person in the mirror. I also work with allot of deaf people, slowly learning sign language. The only thing I knew, was how to sign I love you. You should have seen the guys face when I did that one to him. Luckily I also knew waving hands over each other and side to side meant no. LOL
