How many theme parks does Universal Orlando has?

I was wondering about the theme parks that Universal Orlando has. Like in Disney they have MAGIC KINGDOM, ANIMAL KINGDOM, EPCOT and etc. and you pay separately for each. So, how many theme parks does Universal has and their name? Which one is the best?

  1. As far as I know...Disney only has 1 theme park...Disney Land/World (depending on where you go). Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom etc...are just attractions located within the theme park. Universal Orlando would be just 1 theme park with different attractions.
  2. Islands of Adventure is different that Universal Studios, though. Islands of Adventure has 5 islands in it (but one is just the entrance). Universal Florida contains Islands, Studios, a waterpark and CityWalk.
  3. Universal Orlando has 2 parks Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure IOA more roller coasters and thrill rides while US is more of special effects shows and rides. My fav ride at Universals IOA is Spderman
  4. "jessi" you are completely wrong. disney world has 4 theme parks. magic kingdom is just one of them. the others are animal kingdom, hollywood studios (formerly mgm), and epcot. plus they have 2 water parks which are blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon.they are each there own park and they make up the walt disney world resort. here is the disney world website so you can check it out for yourself: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/ now to answer your question "aziza" universal orlando has 2 theme parks and a water park. the theme parks are: -universal studios -islands of adventure and the water park: -wet n wild personally i like universal studios better. here is the universal orlando website: http://www.universalorlando.com/
  5. There are 2 parks Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure. They are much closer together than the Disney parks. Very short walking distance. You can purchase a ticket for each park separately or get a combo ticket (which I recommend.) Each park has it's own value. More thrill rides in Islands of Adventure but movie themed rides are on the studios side. (the mummy is a can't miss for me). One thing I wish someone had told me, they are MUCH smaller than the Disney parks. I have done both parks in one day. Two days is best though cause you can go at a leisurely pace and re-ride your favs. Also the connecting area between the parks is called citywalk and has some great restaurants. Good luck planning and have fun!
  6. Universal Orlando has 2 parks that make up it's resort: Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure. Universal Studios Orlando is the "movie" or "studio" side of the park. This side of the park is known for allowing you to ride the best of the movies, television, cartoons, and more. You will feel as if you are right in the middle of the movie itself on the movie themed rides. There are rides such as JAWS (where you ride a boat into Amity just like the movie), The Mummy (where you ride a roller coaster themed around the movie), Jimmy Neutron, Shrek 4D, The Simpsons Ride, Men in Black II, and MORE! Islands of Adventure is compiled with numerous little "islands" or worlds, similar to how Disney breaks up Magic Kingdom. The islands are broken down by category. For example, Marvel Island is all about comic book characters and presents attractions that are based around those characters (such as The Hulk, Spiderman, Fantastic 4, and more). Cartoon Lagoon brings your favorite cartoon characters to life such as Rocky and Bullwinkle, Duddly Dooright, Woody Woodpecker, and more. The islands are broken down like this and allow you to experience something new in each "island" area. The new Harry Potter island is expected to debut in early 2010! If you are looking for more thrill rides, then the Islands of Adventure side of the park is for you. If you love movies, tv, and cartoons then I think you would love the Studios side. Personally, the Studios side is my favorite! I love the rides and find it less crowded than Islands of Adventure. But it is up to you which you want to go to :) I provided some links that you can take a look at to see which you'd like!
