How to get hearing aids with no income & no insurance?

I have mild hearing loss in both ears & my audiologist recommends correcting it sooner rather than later with a hearing aid in both ears. I have no insurance, no income, live with my parents & they have low income. Is there anyone that would help cover the cost of me getting hearing aids?

  1. you should check with your department of health and human services. they have free clinics and doctors that can perscribe you and recomdend free medication and or medical devices. You also may want to check out any sort of living assistance, Medicare. Depending on where you live they have localized gov't health insurance for the uninsured. You may be qualified, or your parents, and use theirs depending on how old you are.
  2. It depends on your age. You might be able to qualify for the state health insurance programs. But most of the programs stop at age 19.
