Is there any type of ear surgery for people who wear hearing aids and want normal hearing?

What I'm saying is, I've been looking all over the internet, I even checked out the cochlear implant and it's not for me. I might try it on my right ear to see what happens, and if it works then I'll try it on my left. Any advice or suggestions? Or maybe a few websites I could look at, anything would help thanks. My hearing aids are the only things that's blocking me from joining the armed forces, and it's in my blood.
