What can be done for personnel in the navy that having hearing aids that dont feel safe on a ship cause of it?

I am in the navy and have recently recieved hearing aids. Hearing loss is common among naval personnel. However I do not feel safe being onboard because of the inability to safely communicate and assess situations. Any help please on what I can do to get shore duty and off the ship?
