Which are good Orlando theme parks to visit?

I am planning to go to Orlando in Sept long weekend. I would be staying in Orlando for 3 days. Considering the fact that I have a two and half year old daughter and a wife who is afraid of huge rides which would be the theme parks that I should be visiting?

  1. Absolutely go to Disney's Magic Kingdom. The rides there are anything but huge, but are fun nonetheless. You and your family are guaranteed to love it. We found Sea World to be wonderful, too. We paid extra for the backstage pass and it was well worth it. Those two will each take a day. Universal is too intense for a small child. The waterparks are also just too much. You might consider Animal Kingdom (Disney), but it really is a long day for a little one. Check online. Sometimes the parks have ratings according to ages. Have a great time!
  2. I'd recommend Epcot, Animal Kingdom, SeaWorld, and Cypress Gardens in that order.. All have a variety of attractions and are suitable for all ages- and seem to be a little less crazy than Magic Kingdom or Universal Studios. The important thing to remember is that it's going to be HOT, and you'll want to find a quieter spot in air conditioning so naptime isn't a nightmare. My daughter is three, and has been to all the major Orlando parks multiple times. As long as you take it easy and try not to do too much- your child will have a great time!
  3. I would say the Magic Kingdom and Seaworld, like one of the answer's said. The Magic Kingdom doesn't really have thrill rides - the biggest being Space Mountain (closed for refurbishment), Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. Otherwise, you would probably find all the rides perfect for your family! Plus, you could take your daughter to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique where she could get dressed up like a princess for the day! She can also meet many Disney characters. Seaworld is also great - lots of animals that you wouldn't normally see. Tons of endangered species and not many rides. It's a great park, I love it! Like the other person said, Animal Kingdom is also great if you want to stick to just doing Disney. It's the biggest park there though - so it will be a long day if it's busy. The park itself doesn't have too many big rides - they have a Safari ride where you can go see many animals and a couple other cute rides, and some great walk-throughs! They also have some really good shows - like the Lion King and Finding Nemo. They also have this It's a Bugs Life show, and the Tree of Life. Anyways, I hope this helps!
  4. Definetly DISNEY WORLD. Since you won't be there long, I would recommend going to the Magic Kingdom theme park and Animal Kingdom theme park. Although Sea World would be another GREAT thing to do, I would not recommend it for your short trip. You would then have to rent a car, which would cost more money. Unless you plan on driving there anyway. However, if you chose to stay in a Disney World resort, there is free transportation. There are buses that run every 15 min. and have many stops and go from every hotel to every park so you don't have to worry about a thing. VERY CONVENIENT. The Magic Kingdom has a lot of fun rides that your whole family can enjoy. Some of them are: -It's a Small World -Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin -The Dumbo Ride -Aladdin's Magic Carpet -TTA (Tomorrow Land Transit Authority aka. The People Mover) Plus a parade, and fireworks at night. These are just a few of some of the great rides in the Magic Kingdom. Also within the Magic Kingdom, there is a place called Toon Town Fair. This includes Mickey, Minnie, and other famous Disney characters houses where your child can meet and greet them. On to Animal Kingdom... Animal Kingdom is one of the most beautiful places. It feels as though you are walking through a jungle. There are parrots and other exotic animals everywhere. Within Animal Kingdom there is a place called Dinoland. Dinoland features many kid attractions at it including a large playground that looks amazing. ( I never did it bc I'm too old, and haven't gone with kids yet lol) PLUS there are two great shows to see in Animal Kingdom. THE FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING...one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen. You MUST see it!!! There is also a Nemo show, which I have heard is excellent...I am dying to see it this August! Both of these parks have many delicious places to eat at them also. There are some pricier and some more affordable depending on what you are looking for. Magic Kingdom also has character breakfast's and dinner's...something your daughter would be interested in. No question,,DISNEY IS THE WAY TO GO!!! :) :) :) If you have any questions, feel free to email me Lysshins@yahoo.com!
  5. i would have to say all the Disney parks but MGM . mk-there is like only three big rides in that Disney park. epcot-there is kid stops all over the place for the kids and some kid rides in the park. ak-there is tons of things to do in that Disney park. Sea world would be good to and there is even a kid ride in there. but do NOT go to uvs because that is to much for the little kids
  6. Try Epcot for a Disney park. Small park doable in a day not a lot of walking as most rides are next to each other. You can also do Sea World which is mostly shows and exhibits. Cant go wrong with going to Magic Kingdom either.
  7. Magic Kingdom and Sea World as has already been said by several here. However I have to disagree with those who said to not visit either Universal Park with a 2 year old. IOA has more rides for your 2 yr old than Animal Kingdom or Epcot has. They have an entire section of the park called Seuss Landing which is geared toward toddlers and preschoolers. They also have the Camp Jurassic which is the most amazing play area. It beats the 2 WDW play areas hands down. I would suggest going ahead and getting the 1 day 2 park ticket so that you can also visit Universal Studios. You daughter should really enjoy Jimmy Neutron, Sherk and ET along with the Fival and Curious George play areas.
