Is ABC News shameless in ignoring the climategate scandal?

Here's a link to a story posted today on ABC's website which reinforces the global warming theory by citing various scientists and debunking "myths." And yet, not a single word in reference to the climategate scandal which has raised grave concerns about the credibility of the Global Warming scientific community/ Even if you completely buy into Global Warming, and believe that the recently exposed emails do nothing to discredit the theory, shouldn't a world-class news organization at least acknowledge that the story exists? The willful ignorance of the mainstream media is breathtaking. This level of manipulation of the news is worth of Pravda. This is not the email of "one" scientist that got hacked, it's thousands of emails among and between some of the most noted scientists in the field. 5. Much ado about nothing - a tempest in a teapot. ONE scientist gets his emails hacked, misrepresented, falsified, etc. and all of a sudden that means that thousands of climate scientists are all liars? You guys need some serious lessons in what the word "logic" means. Btw: John McCain acknowledges global warming is real - is he a liberal? Or do you have more experience with super-computer modeling of global atmospheric climatology than the guys with the Ph.D. degrees do?

7. There will always be people who refuse to acknowledge global climate change. The MSM spends a great deal of time and attention on those person's views and opinions. However, scientific fact and consensus cannot be ignored. Those who choose to ignore global climate change or who attempt to "debunk" it are welcome to their (often bought and paid for) opinion, but scientists will continue to report the FACTS.

10. The Lame-Stream-Media is trying its best to ignore this, just like they tried with the ACORN scandal. For those who point out that Bush, Cheney and other conservatives supported man-made global warming, they did so based on the reports of these now discredited scientists. These same scientists (notice that is plural) also did their best to silence the opposing views of other leading scientists. Even the NY Times confirmed that these thousands of emails were legitimate.

Maybe ABC is doing what n-e-w-s organization are SUPPOSED to do: double-check any sources; doing their OWN investigation as to the particulars (not just relying on what any outside 'source' might provide; and interviewing those involved, to get BOTH SIDES of the story. BUT: if you want innuendo, myth, legend, fable and unsubstantiated rumors, then FOX is where you want to go. BTW: FOX isn't news, it's opinion. Period. .

They better figure it out, Der Spiegel warns, because "billions of euros are at stake in the negotiations." We are told in sad tones that "not much is happening with global warming at the moment" and that "it even looks as though global warming could come to a standstill this year." But how can it be that the earth isn't following all those computer models? Is the earth goddess Gaia herself a climate change "denier"? The article gloomily notes that a few weeks ago Britain's Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research pointed out that the earth had in fact only warmed 0.07 degree Celsius from 1999 to 2008 and not by the 0.2 degree Celsius predicted by the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. An even more inconvenient truth, according to the British experts, is that when their figures are adjusted for two naturally occurring climate phenomena, El Nino and La Nina, the resulting temperature trend is reduced to 0.0 degree Celsius. No, that's not a typo.
