Why was ABC news so surprised to see over a 1000 people at Sarah Palin's book signing last night?

i was watching the new early this morning when they did a story about the book signing and they seemed almost shocked that people would spend the night to see her. i really don't get it why ABC news would be shocked, and even condescending about the amount of people there.

1. Well maybe Lost was preempted.
2. She has a lot of followers...the loving ones and the haters. (jealous) She will be the next President.
3. Because they just watched foxnews and thought that there should be More people there. Stupid foxnews showed mccain/palin campaign rally and claimed it was palin book tour. Lying scumbags about as worthless as a bucket of dog vomit.
