Finally Today

Is ABC News Under George Stephanopoulos the Voice of the Republicans?

In the morning news they have John McCain as daily fixture attacking Barack Obama for not sending the troops to Afghanistan right away. Then ABC adds that Secretary Gates wants more troops. The video clip of Gates you do not hear him say that. No any balancing reporting of any prominent politician who opposes sending any more troops to Afghanistan, What is the ABC agenda? The question is: Why ABC does not have balanced reoprting? Why John McCain on ABC news calling for sending more troops to Afghanistan immediatly or great harm will be for the US. In the mean time ABC does not put any body in the Air to oppose sending more troops? Why ABC presenting the John McCain war agenda and ignoring every body else. 49% oppose the war 47% for sending more troops. Calling George S. a liberal is nonsense. The ABC is not in the middle ground but representing John McCain only to the execlusion of every body else.

Public Comments

  1. They're left-wing all the way.
  2. This is going to be a hard one to answer, since the last I heard the right was vilifying ABC as being "in the pocket" of Obama after they showed his health care conference.
  3. Stephanopoulo leans to the left but he's pretty far-minded in my opinion, and tries to present both sides of an issue.
  4. I think ABC is not listening to any idle threats from a US President and his Administration . Emanuel told them they should not take FOX seriously and ABC and many others are going to say STUFF it YOU PHONIES !
  5. As a master of satire (or at least having a namesake who was) I must say I dig your style
  6. Agenda? You have got to be kidding me! According to you, how dare anyone question our freshman senator President (with no military experience) on how he is handling the wars! According to me, how dare our freshman senator President go against the wishes of the GENERALS on the ground and handle the war the way HE sees fit. Pathetic!
  7. There is no such thing as true balance in reporting. News media's "agenda" is to increase viewership and ad revenue. Although there is a middle audience which likes to believe they are listening to unbiased reporting, controversy increases viewership, as does confirming people's beliefs and encouraging mis-trust of government. If you could believe everything the government says (or if the media always agreed with it), why would you need to listen to "independent" media? There is little correlation between owners' political opinions and those of the media they own. Often a conglomerate owns both liberal and conservative media outlets. Pundits are hired more for entertainment value than anything else.
  8. Don't blame ABC for trying to find some type of middle ground... If you want to hear everything is great and how great obama is watch...NBC or MSNBC If you want to hear something about race, watch...CNN If you want to hear what a failure Obama is watch...FOX
  9. It's simple just look at the bigger issues not being addressed when ABC is focused on this. It's the old shell game hide worst of the news, by making something that they have full control over into the story.
  10. No. George Stephanopoulos is a middle-of-the-road Democrat. Most of them don't support Obama anymore.
  11. no matter what someone will ALWAYS find a reason to complain Some of the people, all of the time All of the people some of the time But Not all of the people, all of the time
  12. You're delusional.
  13. Well Madeline Albright said Obama was doing the right thing by asking questions, listening and getting all the facts together. McCain is a loose cannon...I can still see him singing "bomb Iran"...his opinion means nothing. He showed his character (or lack of) and what he could do during the election cycle. That man was too stupid to know the economy was in trouble. Why would he know what is best in Afghanistan? And his voting record is deplorable. His recent vote against Al Franken's amendment speaks to his inability to be dog catcher. McCain has been in office too long. Arizona should be ashamed of him! As to ABC's agenda....I rarely watch, but George Stephanopoulos was a democrat. I would put more faith in Madeline Albright!
