What is the most evolved society in the world today?

Evolved means furthest ahead along on the "path" that all human societies are traversing, from prehistoric times to today.

1. From the things I've read, Sweden sounds like the leader to me. They seem to be the most intellectually honest with humanities role on earth.
2. The most primitive society in our world is the most evolved. Just look at what our modern societies have given us.
3. Every society has a desire to evolve. It seems that most are NOT allowed to evolve even societies that appear fair and democratic. The cult of the Primitive demands that human beings do what they are told. Despite adversity, Japan seems to have evolved in terms of philosophy and culture. Certain aspects of American culture seem outstanding especially the Declaration of Independence - an advanced document indeed. African culture seems telepathic in its thinking abilities and patience. European culture appears to have evolved in its capacity of tolerating surfaces of extreme materialism and uniformity. Underneath the surface, european culture can be seen to hold inscrutability, an adoration for history and intensity. All societies have the desire and ability to move human potential forward. The thing is, it is not always something certain forces in the world likes to see come about for humanity. The reasons for preventing attempts to evolve are usually stemmed in fear of change that could possibly change the balance of power. Sociologists often also fear a collapse of dominant societies and their culture. I believe the real situation is that society evolves under controlled conditions, that is: a society is allowed to evolve with the authority of hidden forces that give their permission at any point in history, according to their own assessment.

Though that isn't a certain location on the globe, due to your inquiring of evolving furthest from prehistoric to today, I'd say that's where I'd have to venture.
