I have a project for school and this is one of the questions.
Public Comments
- Overwhelmingly Democrat http://www.opensecrets.org/indivs/search.php?name=&state=&zip=&employ=ABC+News&cand=&all=Y&sort=N&capcode=mxsyz&submit=Submit
- Republican - they are millionaires. ABC is owned by Disney. Disney is a publicly traded stock with broad ownership, however, stockholders tend to be affluent and white and such people usually vote republican. Here's a link about TV network ownership in 2008: http://www.stateofthemedia.org/2008/narrative_networktv_ownership.php?cat=4&media=6 and 2009: http://www.stateofthemedia.org/2009/narrative_networktv_ownership.php?cat=4&media=6 --------- update --------- @turningback: you provided evidence that exactly nine *employees* of ABC News have donated to democrats since 2008. But the question was about *owners* not employees. .
- Like all publically traded companies, ABC stock is owned by many people with many different viewpoints - politically and otherwise. If you meant how do the top executives at ABC tend to vote - I don't think too many are conservatives.
- Since ABC is owned by Disney see if you can find out how Disney's ownership votes. Then you will have your correct answer.
- Liberal and they are still in Obama's pocket
