Disneyland Paris - Advice, Hints and Tips please?
We are planning a holiday to Disneyland Paris in late August/early September and will be travelling via Eurostar with my 5 year old daughter and 18 month old son and my partner. Could anyone who has been and stayed at a resort hotel for 3+ days give us any helpful hints or advice on how to make the trip easier/fun, etc? What NOT to do? What not to miss? Thank you in advance!

- I've been to Eurodisney a couple of years ago when I was 16 on a school trip (thankfully for you you are going during the summer holidays, not in January when a lot of English schoolchildren are there!) I stayed in the Cheyenne resort (I think, western-themed hotel). I love how all the resort hotels are themed, so miss out on any photo opportunities! You also can't miss having photos taken with the various characters around the park or the parades. They're magical really. I would also recommend getting tickets to the Walt Disney Studios park (if you haven't already). There's loads of movie themed rides for the children as well as great rides such as Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster (however those might not be suitable for kids). One other thing, definitely try the popcorn around the park it's some of the best I've ever had!
- I have been three times to disneyland paris with my family and enjoyed each trip. We stayed in different hotels each time. We stayed at the New york Hotel, Disneyland Hotel and Santa fe Hotel. We preferred the New York Hotel. The santa fe was just too basic and not very disney in style. Take plenty of spending money as meals, drinks and the shops are very expensive. We took 600 pounds for a 4 day trip. We also travelled on the Euro-star of which really really enjoyed. Your child will be given a colouring book on the train so that should keep the 5 year old busy. Ideas for eating are make sure you book a character breakfast for the children and also we enjoyed eating at the Blue Lagoon restaurant which is based inside the pirates of the Caribbean area. September will be cheaper than August to visit so bare that in mind. August will be very busy owing to summer school holidays. We went at halloween and that was fabulous. We have also been for the christmas festivities which were also great fun. I am sure you will have a great time. The buffet breakfasts are good and i suggest to save money that you take some rolls and yogurts to have for your lunch so that you only have to buy tea.
- We have stayed in Santa Fe the 1st year, but since then we stay in Cheyenne as there is a path you can walk along a river and past the other hotels to Disney Village and on to Disneyland and Disney Studios, taking 10 minutes. It is probably better to go to Disney Village for a meal, as most other in parks are fast food. But make sure you try Toad Hall (and see Toad's armour) and a definite not to miss is Pirates of the Caribbean. Also be aware that some rides are in French like Snow White and Peter Pan's Flight. The Lion King Stage show is excellent, and worth looking out for. Obviously It's A Small World is good, even though the song is with you all day long. The Parades are good but waiting to get a good view is tiring as people begin getting set an hour before. The Hollywood Tower of Terror in Studios is excellent as is the Rock n Roll Coaster with Aerosmith where you set off at 60mph almost straight away. Buzz Lightyear's ride is good for all the family.
