Finally Today

Why do some people think the USA can afford 0bamaCare?

Why are our leaders even wasting their time debating it? The United States is in DEBT! I often hear this described as "being broke." NO! We are PAST being broke. We are in DEBT! This needs to be fixed before doing anything else. There was another earthquake this morning and possible tsunamis still to come. The aid we send isn't free, but it is more wisely used (and virtually FREE) compared to the gross waste proposed by 0bamacare. So I ask again, what part of being in debt does 0bama not understand?

Public Comments

  1. It's like maxing out your credit cards to get out of debt. It's a liberal thing.
  2. I agree 100%. We are in debt trillions of dollars and sadly it's going to be our grandchildren paying for the snottynose, ignorant, partisan idiots that we call Democrats. The US Government cannot even handle Medicare/Medicaid properly and we want them to be put in charge of a huge public option. This is madness. We need simple conservative reforms. We need to start over with tort reform and cut down on fraud, stupid people on welfare are suing doctors just to get rich. There is too much liability. Until we stop making doctors afraid to practice medicine we will be in the toilet. Sadly we have a lawyer in the White House, a ignorant liberal lawyer that thinks he's right all the time. Obama is a brainless idiot.
  3. What is your solution? People like me can't get private health insurance. I am still unemployed, so group insurance isn't in the picture. Perhaps I should start my own little clinic in a storefront near my home. Maybe I could stock it with military surplus hospital supplies and expired medicines. Maybe I could hire some neighbors to staff it, and wear scrubs so that they look like nurses. Maybe I could buy a white coat so that I look like a doctor. Maybe I could use WebMD.com to diagnose the poor uninsured people who need medical care for some malady they can no longer deal with at home. Maybe I could do my own dispensing so that the prescriptions won't be traceable. Maybe I should charge cash only, and keep it in an easily-portable gym-bag in case I should have to leave in a hurry. Maybe I should keep my car gassed up out back in case the FDA should show up with guns and search warrants? What do you think? When people are in debt, it is extremely difficult to finance present needs without getting into more debt. This is what debt is for. Debt is slavery to the powers that be. The only way to get out of debt is to slash present and future needs in favor of servicing present debt that has been incurred for past needs. Or, kill your creditors...
  4. Josh, I agree with you 100%. The trouble with liberals are that they seem to think that teh tax payer will always pay for their liberal programs. We are in debt - and yes - another economic tsunami is on the way. Go to my website - www.pineconeconservatives.org - for more information on this bill join the FORUM and get my daily article.
  5. Our congressmen and executive branch do not understand the deficit, or care about it, because they won't be around to worry about paying it off! Being a spendthrift will always come back to haunt you, if it's your own money. Being spendthrifts of other people's money is probably loads of fun, but definitely not a smart thing to do! Next elections will boot out the current politicians. Independent ticket may be our only option to get rid of the current politicians who forgot who they represent! Obviously, it would have been cheaper to send every citizen over eighteen a million dollars. Since we are going to repay the debt, that would have been fair, and our paid mortgages, paid car loans and savings would have stabilized the American economy. Is this socialism? No! It is common sense. Bailing out businesses that failed to manage right was not the answer. Since our government has blundered into the business realm, trying to control it, big business has forgotten that supply and demand are governed by the consumer. Sure, lots of citizens have lots of money, but, lest we forget, they got big breaks on their taxes. Working class citizens have watched the check shrink for the last few years as living expenses rose. Today the reps in DC have no way to assuage the poor man, but they think big business needs help. I would like to see them try to live comfortably on $50,000 a year, get back to reality of trying to pay bills with their own income. Maybe the conglomerates of businesses should pay back the debt to us by dropping prices, and maybe the feds should tax them fairly and collect it! This debt was not my idea of the legacy I leave behind to my future family!
  6. they always say Bush spent money so we can spend more
  7. Hey Corre...whatever your name is. Case and point...you are unemployed...you are the exact sterotype that is the problem. No offense, I know the job market is tough these days but there are jobs out there somewhere. Work at Wal-mart, 7-11, do whatever it takes to NOT have to take handouts from the government. That is the problem with liberals, they want the government to fix all their problems and whine and moan about everything that is wrong with our country. So the hardworking people are going to be the ones who suffer because the government is spending trillions and trillions of dollars on trying to get healthcare for lazy people who won't get jobs. Health care is to be earned, a good job will be earned. EARN your right to live in this company! So, yes, set up your little clinic, go to school so you can...do whatever it takes. There are so many programs out there to help ANYONE and EVERYONE. Get a job, make it happen...Obama is not going to pass this bill successfully, so I would recommend helping your own. Do your part.
