Romantic disneyLand vacation?

My husband and I decided to go to Disneyland in August for our anniversary (our anniversary is really in November, but im busy with school in november and cant take time off to go on a vacation). We want to go to a romantic dinner, somewhere nice and has decent food. We thought of eating somewhere in disneyland, but we arent sure were. We also wouldnt mind a place outside of disneyland, but that is within walking distance. Any ideas? Also what are some other romantic things we could do?

  1. Two places that comes to mind is either Catal located in Downtown Disney and other is Napa Rose that is located in the Grand California which definitely be needing to make reservations for and is more upscale place and on the pricey side but well worth it.
  2. Definitely go to the Blue Bayou restaurant inside of Disneyland. You do need reservations, and I'm not sure about the policy, so hit this link and check it out: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/blue-bayou-restaurant/?name=BlueBayouDiningPage Other romantic things you could do inside of Disneyland are: Ride the Pirates of the Caribbean, and sit in the back row. The lighting is dim all the way through, and you'll be able to cuddle without an audience if the ride isn't crowded and there are no boats behind you ... One of my favorite places is this little 'porch' that's on Main Street across from the Ice Cream place. What I love to do is get a sundae or an ice cream cone, and sit over on The Veranda (as I call it, even though it's not that big), and watch the people go by. It's a nice place to relax while you gather your energy and decide what to do next, and it's great for parade watching. There's a little love seat that's just got room enough for two :D ... Ride the Haunted Mansion for the same reason as Pirates ... it's dimly lit all through and you can cuddle all you like ... Go on The Jungle Cruise and have fun heckling the Captain of the Boat. Humor is verrrrry sexy, and heckling is encouraged and expected, especially on this ride ... Make sure to ride Splash Mountain, because you will get wet, and that can also be sexy (as long as you have on waterproof mascara :D) ... You know, a trip to the grocery store can be romantic. I think romance is wherever you find it, so have that frame of mind all the time, and see what happens next. Blue Bayou is definitely my first, best choice for where to have dinner, though. Have a great time !!
  3. Hi Ninja: Do you ever wonder where you can go in Disney Land to sneak a romantic kiss with the person you love? Mark twain's River Boat Mark Twain's River Boat Takes you on a nice slow boat ride through Disney Land's Rivers of America. This ride is one of the less crowded rides and the best thing is that the boat has two levels. If you want to have a nice kiss with your Man or Woman this ride is a good place to do it. The Mark Twain is a big boat and you can usually find a somewhat private spot for you both to have an intimate moment. I would recommend the upper level because it has a great view, and set's a romantic mood. OR In Front of the Magic Castle during the fireworks There is nothing more romantic at Disneyland then being with your partner in front of the Magic Castle watching the fireworks. Now if you want a really great romantic kiss then I highly suggest you do it at this location. After you kiss at this location you will literally see sparks. Romantic Diner The Blue Bayou, ask for a water side table, and be sure to make your reservation at least three months in advance. Yes, I said THREE MONTHS. here is the link for you http://www.galttech.com/research/travel/disneyland-blue-bayou.php
  4. Wow, good choices out there. Napa Rose in the Grand Californian is the top choice for fine romantic dining. Catal in Downtown Disney is pretty good, and so it Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. Inside the park, Blue Bayou is very nice. Make a reservation, and ask to sit by the railing when you arrive. Takes a bit longer, but worth it. Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel is good if you want steaks. For some extra bucks, you can get special viewing for the Fantasmic show with some dessert. Call 714-781-DINE for reservations for this and any other dining. Good ideas about the "verandah" across from Gibson Girl, and the Mark Twain. Personally, I enjoy riding with Mrs. Obviousman on the lower deck, in a chair at the front of the boat. There is also a secret spot that you can find on your way past Splash Mountain. As you pass Splash Mountain on your left, look to the right for a path. There's a little area back there where nobody goes, and is good for some quiet romantic time. Just so you know, the park is packed in August. Bring your patience.
  5. The Blue Bayou is in side D-land, but I would not consider it to be very romantic. The view of the Bayou is nice, but the tables are very close together, it is loud, and there are almost always screaming children. The food is good but… For better food and a more relaxed atmosphere (and adult beverages…champagne) the Napa Rose may be a better choice for a romantic anniversary dinner. It is the most expensive and sometime reservations can be hard to get last minute! There are other restaurants you may want to consider, like mentioned before, Catal in Downtown Disney or Steakhouse 55 or Hooks Point at the Disneyland Hotel. If you are going into California Adventure, the Wine Country Trattoria is also a little quieter and has good food (they also have wine). Here is a great website that lists all of the restaurant in D-land, the resort hotels and Downtown Disney, with their menus. They keep the website updated and most menus were updated within the last few months. You can check them out and see if the food sound good to you and your husband! Happy Anniversary!!! http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/menus.htm
